Terms, conditions, and disclosures :

The International Board of Medicine and Surgery (IBMS) is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Organization as a certifying organization.

The certification mark, as used or intended to be used by persons authorized by IBMS, the certifier, certifies that the person or organization providing the medical services has met the standards, qualifications and testing requirements established by IBMS.

(Reg. No. 3,960,346   INTERNATIONAL BOARD OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY OWNER OF U.S. REG. NO. 2,863,881)

IBMS has a Professional Online Web Registry which includes

  • ·      Non-certified listees.
  • ·      IBMS certified members who have agreed with the IBMS Code of Medical Ethics and whose documentation of licensure and specialty certification have been reviewed.
  • ·      IBMS affiliated members who have agreed to adhere to standards espoused by the IBMS.

Patients should consider IBMS certified membership as only one factor in selecting a physician, surgeon, dentist, Healthcare Center of Excellence or other healthcare professional.

Non-certified listees have not formally agreed with the IBMS Code of Medical Ethics and have not had review of documentation of licensure and/or specialty certification.

IBMS certified (or affiliated) membership alone does not necessarily indicate competence or patient compatibility.

Patients ultimately have the responsibility for selecting their physician, surgeon, dentist, Healthcare Center of Excellence or other healthcare professional.

The International Board of Medicine and Surgery disclaims any warranty or liability with regard to actions of any non-affiliated/non-certified listee or IBMS affiliated/certified members in the IBMS website or any other website found through the use of this website.

The International Board of Medicine and Surgery (IBMS) is not an educational institution, and membership with the IBMS does not confer on any member legal qualifications, privileges, license to practice medicine/surgery/dentistry or certification of competency.

Standards of membership are clearly distinct from those of licensure, and IBMS certified membership does not indicate total qualification for practice privileges nor imply exclusion of others who are not members.

The International Board of Medicine and Surgery (IBMS) does not purport in any way to interfere with or limit the professional activities of any licensed physician, surgeon, dentist, Healthcare Center of Excellence or other healthcare professional nor desire to interfere with the regular or legitimate activities of practitioners of medicine/surgery/dentistry.

IBMS has no intent or function in defining requirements with regard to who shall or shall not perform medical, surgical or dental procedures.

IBMS does not censure or review ethical problems.
